"Beautiful Sky Over Bad Creek"

I'm known to jump in the car with my camera and head out, without a solid destination in mind. I just head in the general direction that's calling to me, and I let fate guide me. For me, it's the ultimate expression of freedom, and a way to let the universe take the wheel of creativity. That's how I got this image. I headed out from my home in Suwanee, Georgia and ended up in the hills of South Carolina, near Lake Jocasee. Adjacent to Jocasee is Bad Creek, the site of an underground hydroelectric project built by Duke Energy. The lake you see in the distance encompasses the project site. There's an overlook that provides a stunning view, and when I pulled up, I knew my camera would be happy.
